Every effort was made to breed from mentally and physically healthy Berners, researching pedigrees, evaluating structure and requiring health certifications, to create healthy long-lived family companions. We screened parents as needed for hip and elbow dysplasia, eye diseases, thyroid conditions, heart health, von Willibrands disease, and Degenerative Myelopathy, and look for those conditions among the relatives. We tried to see who may have had, and which kinds of cancer may be in the pedigree. We kept track of longevity in the pedigrees.
We blended the best of stud dogs and brood bitches attributes.
We are always available to owners to discuss any issues pertaining to their Bernese.
